Off to LA then E3

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of updates, the past weeks have kept me busy and now I’m off to LA in a couple of hours to visit my relatives and attend the E3 conf next week. Huurrr wish me luck. It’s my first time traveling there.. and my first time traveling alone. Hopefully it’ll be all good.

…Got real busy last week with work and I expect the coming weeks to be the same so… I’ll most likely be lurking here in tumblr until I can take a breather and do some personal art.

Never AGAIN take on projects that doesn’t pay, even if it seems like it will look good on your portfolio. Because halfway through, you’re gonna see that it sucks; is boring to do; and frustrating to finish.

I went to our local game retailer today..

Was talking to my co-worker yesterday about Mass Effect 3 and I found out that one of our local game retailers are taking pre-orders for it. I originally didn’t plan on pre-ordering the game (but I was gonna get it on day 1) but I found out that they were giving away free Mass Effect 3 shirts and some of the in-game bonuses so I decided to go there today to see if they’re still taking pre-orders. And I got a surprise…

Me: Are you guys still taking pre-orders for Mass Effect 3?

Saleslady: Yes sir…ma’am!

LOL. I haven’t been mistaken by anyone for a guy ever since… high school. Not mad though, people still mistake me for a guy online so it’s alright haha.

I think it’s because of my new glasses. O_o

Nu Glasses

uhh hi. Was sick the past 2 days for unknown reasons(must be some weird reaction to the shots I had) Haven’t worn glasses since almost 8 years ago but I decided to get one 2 days ago coz my bad eyesight was making me cause mistakes in my work. So here it is. It’s so weird wearing glasses again.. might take me a few days to get used to it. I can now finally experience 1080p HD resolution IRL O_O /lol

Sorry if I’m not able to view all the blog posts I missed while I was away during the weekend >_< Also, it seems like I’ve gotten new followers lately? Hi guys! I hope you don’t mind me posting some random stuff besides drawings every once in a while @_@

My arms hurt. ow.

Doc said I needed anti-rabies shots too (even though I was just scratched by my cat) so now both my arms feel a bit bruised from 4 injections. Everyone in my family is squeamish at the thought of 4+ injections but I guess I’m too used being poked by needles in the hospital in the past so it’s the least of my probs right now.

I’m just bummed right now that my arms hurt and I can’t draw :(

Though, much thanks to archer-and-anders and a1879 for enlightening me more on the subject. Was a bit worried earlier when my mom’s friend told me the effects happen later on(like after 10yrs) and that people die from that O_o

And so, I’ll be going back next week and the week after to get my follow up shots.

Meanwhile, my cat is blissfully asleep without a care in the world (except for his food).

  • Me: We have "Forever Alone" beds D: NOOO.

*sigh*

Me: (oh it’s the weekend already! I NEED TO GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE AND MEET PEOPLE)

*sends text message to friends* “Hey who’s free today? let’s hang out!”

*receives text message*

“Sorry, I’m not free today, meeting someone else”

Me: “ahh it’s cool, maybe next time?”

“sorry, I’m busy next week too”

I spend 5 days a week working from home, of course I’d want to get out of this friggin house on the weekend and hang out with people besides my family. I dunno how other people can belittle that luxury of hanging out with people T_T

On commissions, work, etc.

Hi there :D Happy new year to everyone! I hope you are all doing well. Resuming regular work after the holiday slump, and now I’m getting pretty busy again.

So, I’d like to let everyone know I won’t be taking any commissions/requests/art trades right now. Besides the fact that I’m feeling the flu right now, I don’t think I’ll be able to work on commissions/requests/art trades and finish them soon now that I’m preoccupied with tasks for work.

I apologize to those who have messaged me for their commission requests, I cannot accommodate them right now, but I’ll let you know when I’m open for commissions again.

Also, I seem to have gotten new followers over the holidays?! Awesome. Thanks guys! I hope I don’t disappoint haha :P

Oh, and this doesn’t mean that I won’t be posting some personal art in the meantime. I still make doodles and sketches over lunch time for practice :D Thank you guys for understanding.. @_@

Some thoughts..

As much as I love tumblr and all, I kinda wish there’s an option to reply to comments on a blog post without having to message that person or make a new blog post for the reply.

And.. it’s the last day of the year here. FINALLY. 2011 wasn’t a good year for me.. a lot of bad stuff happened.. funny how bad stuff still happens even when one is working from home and supposedly safe from the dangers of the outside world..

Well, on the upside, I’ve worked on 2 games this year :D I also learned a lot from my fellow colleagues and artists. I’ve also met wonderful friends here in tumblr and the DA fandom.

So… here’s to 2012! I hope it brings us all good fortune(and hopefully the world won’t end yet)
